The steering is very well weighted and responsiveness, and proved easy to use when taking part in the van's "parking gymkhana' challenge (yours truly won, by the way). There is also a panic button which, theoretically could frighten away potential thieves.
Hidden Physical Keys
Modern car key fobs provide numerous useful functions such as the ability to start and stop the engine from a distance. These hidden features are beneficial if you're hurry or if you need to get out of the rain. However, certain of these hidden features could be employed by thieves to steal your vehicle.
The key fob emits radio frequency (RF) signals that are detected by a receiver within the vehicle. The receiver interprets these signals and decides whether the button was pressed, such as to unlock the vehicle or start it.
When a new key fob is added to the system, it will send its serial number as well as the current synchronization counter to the receiver while in a learning mode. The receiver saves this data in memory and then exits learning mode. The key fob then uses the encryption key previously saved and the counter for synchronization in order to authenticate the signal when it is used again.
This security measure can be effective in preventing the majority of attacks but it's not 100% secure. Other reasons include a faulty key that was programmed, an immobilizer fault, and interference from other wireless devices that transmit at the same frequency as your key fob. It could be necessary to change the fuses or disconnect the battery for fifteen minutes in order to reset the module.
Sunroof Opener
The Renault traffic key fobs come with an open/close sunroof feature. This is essential to maintain a comfortable temperature when driving in the summer. This feature can also let you open the sunroof to let air circulate through the vehicle, which could help with the circulation of air during a hot drive.
The console switch is located on the left side of the hatch. This will open the sunroof to its most comfortable position, or approximately 75% open. This is the normal operating position for the majority of cars. Touch OPEN to open the sunroof to full operation and CLOSE to close it.

Once the slip clutch is properly adjusted, apply high force Loctite to the adjusting screw locknut.
Another issue that can stop your sunroof from raising is a defective Limit Switch 2 or one which has been improperly adjusted. The lifting arms will retract to the released position to be removed, but not to the locked-open position. On 1985.5 and later cars the ignition switch must be in the ACCESSORY position (2) to operate the sunroof. replacement renault megane key card must be operated in the "A" direction to open, and then in the "B" direction to close.
